This is a help request from Fr. Meena Varaprasad, a capuchin priest in New Jersey. His family in India is in great financial stress due to serious illness of both of his sister-in-laws. Please see the details as sent by the father. As they are in urgent need of help, we would like to open it up as an emergency case. Please consider extending a helping hand to this family.

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings from Fr. Meena Capuchin . This is to request you for your prayers and kind help and supporting hand in this time of great trial in our family.

Recently my elder sister-in-law Latha had kidney failure which was settled due a kidney transplant and there was great trouble in the family to support her for the treatment and to find out donor. As the members of our family were going through this for over an year we had a great shock when we heard of cancer for my younger brother’s wife. She was diagnosed with breast cancer which is also spread even to some parts of the bones which need immediate treatment. It is really a tough time to face trials one after the another especially when they are very young. My sister-in-law’s name is Rajini and her age is only 36 and she had got two children who are studying in the school. All my family members are in great trauma and the doctor suggested about six chemotherapies required as the treatment which cost around Rs 82,000/- each. Addition to that we may need to spend for the medicine. This has become a great concern as we have already in debt due to the treatment of our elder sister-in-law who had kidney transplant.

This is to request to extend your support both in prayer and in kind according to your possibility. I had to request due to immediate concern and seriousness which has pushed my family into great despair.
