Ravaging flood due to incessant rain in Tamil Nadu has shaken the people, particularly those who live in the slums. Thousands of people have been rendered homeless and are seeking refuge due to this unfortunate natural calamity.

Helpsavelife is collaborating with Loyola Rain Relief Services (LRRS) to extend our support to Tamil Nadu flood victims especially those who are in slums and rural areas. LRRS is a task force created by Loyola College Society (Chennai) to support the rain victims primarily focused on providing relief and rehabilitation to the rain ravaged slums and rural areas of Tamil Nadu. When the flooding started LRRS adopted one slum with more than 2000 people and sheltered them in campus. In addition to rehabilitating these people, LRRS is also working with affected districts like Cuddalore, Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur that need immediate assistance. Support provided includes grocery packages and a supplies kits worth Rs.10,000 to each family which contains blankets, bed sheets, cooking utensils etc.. In addition to material support, LRRS volunteers are also providing emotional support by giving counseling to people who lost all hope in their life due to this disaster.
